• SUL Extraction Solution The SUL Extraction Solution is needed to prepare the SUL Calibration Reagent, the Standards and also to extract the sulphite from the crustacean matrix.

Dissolve the content of 1 SEFSUL2 tube in 2L of distilled water

Dissolve the content of 1 SEFSUL1 tube in 1L of distilled water

• SUL Calibration Reagents and Standards: The SUL Calibration Kit contains 4 tubes of powdered Calibration Reagent, together with two empty tubes to prepare the Sulphite Standards. The Calibration Standards are prepared daily by diluting the Calibration Reagent with Extraction Solution and they are the reagents used to calibrate the biotest. To prepare the Calibration Reagent and the Standards see Table 4.

Add 100 µl of SUL Calibration Reagent to a final volume of 20 ml of Extraction Solution. SUL Standard 2: Range 50-300 mg/kg

Add 53,4 µl of SUL Calibration Reagent to a final volume of 20 ml of Extraction Solution. SUL Standard 1: Range 30-150 mg/kg
