OMA Protocol Review: OMAMAN-56 Sulfites in Shrimp

1. BIOFISH 300 Technology and Application

The BIOFISH 300 SUL method is a simple, reliable and specific enzymatic biosensor for the quantification of sulphite in different matrices: raw shrimp head off and boiled shrimp, measured as SO 2 . It is intended for the determination of sulphite in processing plants or laboratories to ensure sulphite concentrations are below legal limits for sulphite free labeling.

The quantification range of the device is from 7-30 mg/kg with a maximun error of 10% and a limit of quantification of 7 mg/kg of SO 2 .
