4) The analysis option on the main screen leads to the analysis menu: Recondition, Activate, Calibrate, Standard, Verifying Solution, Turrax, Bath and Stand By.

h) Activation and Calibration of the Biotest.- Once per day, before beginning to perform the analysis, the biotest must be reconditioned, activated and calibrated.

1) Reconditioning.-

1.1. Press Recondition, verify the proper placement of the cuvette with the 10 mL of SUL Measurement Solution, add sulfite standard (2 mL of SUL Standard 1 in case of 30-150 mg/kg Measurement range or 1 mL of SUL Standard 2 in case of 50-300 mg/kg Measurement range) into the measurement cuvette and press CONTINUE. 1.2. Wait for the equipment to emit an acoustic signal, press CONTINUE, and once again inject sulfite standard (2 mL of SUL Standard 1 in case of 30-150 mg/kg Measurement range or 1 mL of SUL Standard 2 in case of 50-300 mg/kg Measurement range) into the measurement cuvette and wait for the process to end.

1.3. The message “Biotest reconditioned. Ready to activate” will appear on the screen.

1.4. Replace the cuvette´s contents with 10 mL of new measurement solution.

2) Activation.-

2.1. Press activate, verify the proper placement of the cuvette and press CONTINUE to begin the activation. 2.2. Wait for the equipment to emit an acoustic signal, press CONTINUE, and inject sulfite standard (2 mL of SUL Standard 1 in case of 30-150 mg/kg Measurement range or 1 mL of SUL Standard
