Statement of Expertise  I received my Ph.D. with tea research in food chemistry major and I intensively worked on flavanols in teas.  I have been working in research and I am still dealing with tea flavanols every day. I have very extensive  experience of tea flavanols.    Sr. Staff Review  CV reflects experience in product development, natural products, and  antioxidant activity, polyphenols, and flavanols; analytical chemistry and  instrumentation used in running methods.

Statement of Expertise  I have over 15‐year experience in the analysis and characterization of flavan‐3‐ols (proanthocyanidins) in  wine, grape seeds, almond skins, cocoa and cranberry among other food plants used as functional food  ingredients or nutraceuticals. I have also contributed to industrial patents for the elaboration of plant  extracts containing flavan‐3‐ols that have been licensed to the dietary supplement industry.  Currently, in my role as Scientific Liaison at USP, I am responsible for the creation of new monographs of  plant materials/extracts containing polyphenols, including guarana seed, bitter orange and cranberry,  among others.
